The Team
Amanda Babcock
Amanda is half of the mother-daughter team which is Miss Tennessee Pearl. She is passionate about helping young women polish* their pageantry skills and about mentoring young women in their professional endeavors. Amanda has served the Miss America & Miss Florida Organizations as an Executive Director and was Head Judge for Miss Orlando, Miss Nashville Volunteer, and Miss Utah's Teen. She has judged numerous local pageants, and served on mock interview panels for different pageant systems.
Amanda resides in Hendersonville, Tennessee where her greatest joys come from her husband, Wade, and her nine-year-old daughter, Emma Lane, as she continues the pageantry tradition as International United Miss Tennessee Jr. Preteen.
Barbara Locke
Barbara is the other half of the mother-daughter team which is Miss Tennessee Pearl. She is delighted and extremely honored to work with Amanda in the Inaugural Year of Miss Tennessee Pearl. Barbara shares in the excitement of helping young women develop their strengths as they embark on their future. She has served in many volunteer roles in the Miss Orlando, MAOT, Miss Seminole County, and the Miss Florida Pageant.
Barbara is primarily a resident of Florida and Maryland. She is a Family Nurse Practitioner; however, she would prefer to spend her time as the doting grandmother to her precious Emma Lane.
Wade Babcock
Wade is a self-proclaimed "Pageant Dad" and a Miss Tennessee Pearl board member. Wade has served the Miss America & Miss Florida Organizations as a Director and was in charge of music production for the Miss Seminole County Scholarship Organization. He judged the Miss Strawberry Festival Pageant in Plant City, Florida.
Wade is a Captain at a major U.S. airline, where he is also a Simulator Instructor, and serves as a mentor for new pilots hired to the company.
